Eager to promote culture within its clubs, the Senior Animation Service of the CCAS of Nice and the Culture and Libraries for All 06 Association are organizing, for their first partnership, a presentation-debate around books and more specifically around the 2010 Literary Prizes.
During this cultural afternoon, the St Barthรฉlรฉmy Club of the CCAS will host the members of the Senior Animation service, the residents of the St Barthรฉlรฉmy Residential Center, and the members of the Culture and Libraries for All 06 Association.
The presentation-debate, orchestrated by Mrs. Monique BASTIANI, Vice-President, and 4 volunteer librarians from the association, will revolve around several works including:
โA Son for Anotherโ by Claude RIZZO, presented by Jeanine LOVERO, Cessole Library;
โThe Angelโs Refugeโ by Nora ROBERTS, presented by Mrs. Nicole CAPOCETTI, Cessole Library;
โThe Skirt-Trousersโ by Franรงoise DORIN, presented by Mrs. Nicole THOME, Cessole Library;

The senior clubs of CCAS: 24 disciplines divided into 9 clubs
Exchange, meet, share new activitiesโฆ.
The “new” seniors are much more open to the world than their elders. To meet their needs, the CCAS, through its senior animation service, offers a multitude of activities: 24 sports, cultural, artistic, and leisure disciplines are available to our seniors. Occasional activities are also organized: excursions, festive activities, hiking, snowshoeingโฆ
The Residential Centers
Managed by the CCAS of Nice, the three Residential Centers welcome independent and autonomous elderly people who wish to break their isolation and benefit from the friendliness of collective housing. Their location in easily accessible Nice neighborhoods (bus, tramway) allows for re-establishing human contact that recalls the village’s own spirit of solidarity. Each has dining centers or “Pignata” where residents and seniors from the neighborhood can come for lunch.
