The Marinières en Rose continue their commitment to women affected by breast cancer. This Thursday, November 5, in Villefranche-sur-Mer, a roundtable discussion dedicated to supportive care will be organized in the presence of healthcare professionals and experts. The evening will also be marked by the presentation of a check for 15,000 euros to the Princess Grace Hospital Center (CHPG) in Monaco, following the fifth edition of the event.

Following the mobilization organized on October 3 and 4 last on the Marinières beach, Patricia Plessis, founder of the Marinières en Rose, invites participants and partners this Thursday from 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the auditorium of the Villefranche-sur-Mer citadel.

Eight speakers will participate in discussions about supportive care in the breast cancer treatment pathway. Several professionals from the Princess Grace Hospital Center in Monaco, including doctors and health managers, will be present alongside specialists in sophrology, dietetics, and socio-aesthetics.

The audience will mainly consist of participants, volunteers, and partners from the fifth edition of the Marinières en Rose. Residents and elected officials from Villefranche-sur-Mer are also expected for this evening dedicated to supporting patients.

Over 40,000 euros donated to CHPG since 2022

The meeting will also officially present the CHPG with a check for 15,000 euros. The general director of the Monaco establishment, Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges, will receive this sum, collected during the 2026 edition of the Marinières en Rose, organized on October 3 and 4. An amount that has increased since last year, the association sent a check for 11,000 €.

These funds will contribute to financing supportive care for patients with breast cancer. Support covers psychological, social, nutritional, and aesthetic dimensions of the disease, in addition to medical treatments.

Since the first edition organized in 2022, over 40,000 euros have been donated to the Princess Grace Hospital Center to support these programs. The mobilization around the event has also grown over the years. From 80 participants at the first edition, the Marinières en Rose grew to 800 participants in 2026.

Beyond fundraising, the event aims to raise public awareness about breast cancer and the importance of prevention. A stand dedicated to self-examination had notably been set up during the October weekend to inform participants about screening procedures.
