At the dawn of this new year, I would like to assure all the inhabitants of the department of the Alpes-Maritimes that the General Council is mobilizing by their side, in a context that requires more than ever an absolute control of public spending.
With maintained means of action without increasing taxes, the Department will be able to strengthen its solidarity measures towards children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, while continuing to pursue its policy of future investments serving youth, growth, and employment.
I wish all the inhabitants of the Alpes-Maritimes an excellent year 2012.
