Nice: Conference on the Arab World Institute

Latest News

On May 20th, at 4 PM, the CUM is offering a conference titled “The Arab World Institute, its vocation and its role.” It will take place in the presence of Dominique Baudis, journalist, writer, Member of the European Parliament, and President of the Arab World Institute.

Since 1987, housed in the prestigious building designed by Jean Nouvel in the heart of historic Paris, the Arab World Institute (IMA) has been tasked with developing and deepening knowledge and understanding of the Arab world in France.

With over one million visitors per year, the IMA has now become a major player in the French and international cultural landscape, a genuine “cultural bridge” between France and the Arab world.

Dominique Baudis, a radio and television journalist, is also a writer. He has published notable works such as Raimond dโ€™Orient in 1999, Il faut tuer Chateaubriand in 2003, and Les amants de Gibraltar in 2010. His term as a Member of the European Parliament establishes his legitimacy to lead a cultural institution open to both near and distant horizons.
