And to conclude: “In the Alpes-Maritimes, you can count on the communists to energize political life, to prevent the Estrosi, Ciotti, Nègre, Léonetti, Leleux, and others like Tabarot from doing just anything.”

Statement by Cécile Dumas
Departmental Secretary of the PCF 06

“Last year, the Alpes-Maritimes federation of the Communist Party presented its wishes in Antibes under the snow. We made a wish: to oust Sarkozy from the Elysée!

This year, I will also engage in the little game of making a wish since last year’s came true.

I hope that with the Left Front we succeed in creating a great popular dynamic in our campaign “the alternative to austerity is possible!”, I wish that all the people of the left, ecologists, progressives who desire change get moving and grow the idea that we can change society into a sharing society that allows the acquisition of new rights, that allows a dignified life on a planet we do not exhaust but must preserve.

And the communists, with the Left Front, with the citizens of our department, are ready to work on all this, ready to build projects for our cities, our municipalities that carry the will to put “human beings first.”

We have decided in our department to decline this campaign in 3 themes: housing, health, employment.

All these struggles, all these projects we are starting for 2013 have one thing in common: the refusal of the austerity policy in our cities, in our departments, in our regions, in our country, and in Europe.

Dare all the initiatives to convince that the alternative to austerity is possible and that no one should give up on new progress and new rights.”
