Opening and Award Ceremony for the Young Creation Prize
Friday, June 24, 2011, at 6 PM at Galerie de la Marine, 59, Quai des Etats-Unis
The exhibition “Demain c’est loin” showcases the works of the 2011 graduates of Villa Arson, taking place from June 24 to October 9, 2011, as part of the event “Contemporary Art and the Cรดte d’AzurโA Territory for Experimentation, 1951-2011.”
An annual rendezvous with young creation, this exhibition presents the work of the 26 graduates from the final year of study at the รcole nationale supรฉrieure de l’art de la Villa Arson, thus submitting their work for the first time to the critical eye of the public.
The exhibition, which is held simultaneously in two parts, one at the Galerie de la Marine and the other at Villa Arson, invites attendees to explore the personal universes and research of these young artists.
On this occasion, the City of Nice, with the support of the Bernar Venet Foundation, is continuing the Young Contemporary Creation Prize for the third year, awarded by a jury of professionals and distinguishing two artists.
The two laureates will benefit from creation support, a residency, and a solo exhibition in 2012.
