In addition to excelling in a championship that, except for the defeat at Saint-Etienne, remains excellent, OGCN also fulfills its role as an active participant with charitable initiatives that clearly demonstrate the club’s integration into the life of the city.
For the past eight years, OGC Nice and the service clubs of Nice, including the Lions and the Rotary Clubs of the Alpes Maritimes, have joined forces to raise funds to aid organizations supporting hospitalized children or those suffering from debilitating illnesses.
Since 2005, these initiatives have raised a total of €220,000.
This amount has helped alleviate the suffering of children through the purchase of medical equipment such as wheelchairs, hospital beds, medical bathtubs, and morphine pumps.
In eight years, ‘Enfants sans douleur’ has notably supported projects of the following Associations: Lutins et Lucioles, Institut d’Éducation Motrice Rossetti, Institut Médico-Éducatif Les Chênes, Institut Médico-Éducatif Les Terrasses, Handy Art Noble Déco, Enfants et Santé, Hello Baptiste, SOS Nolwenn contre la Différence, the EBH Center; The Parish of Notre Dame de la Sagesse in Valbonne, and has aided the Neonatal, Intensive Care, and Pediatric Services at L’Archet and Lenval Hospitals.
The €10,000 raised during the Nice-Lille match last season were allocated to the projects of the following associations: Bienvenue à Nos Enfants 06, Caravelle La Fondation Lenval, Les Amis d’Adrien, Tous avec Hugo, Sourire à la Vie.
