Nice Beach Volley is a series of tournaments from July 1st to 6th featuring Victoria Ravva and Karine Salinas, who will compete in the France Beach Volley Series.
From Friday, July 1st to Wednesday, July 6th, 2011 at the Forum Jacques Médecin
Place Masséna is once again becoming an iconic spot for events in Nice. Throughout the month of July, beach-themed sports events will be held at the Forum Jacques Médecin as part of Masséna 100% Sport!
Masséna 100% Sport includes a multitude of tournaments, demonstrations, and introductions to various beach sports: beach volleyball, beach soccer, foot-volley, sandball, beach wrestling… and an exceptional lineup of high-level athletes (Xavier Barachet for Sandball, Victoria Ravva for Beach Volleyball, Sylvain Wiltord for Foot Volley…).
This sport, originally from California and quickly popularized in France, is played in teams of 3 to 4 players. In competition, it is played by teams of two players without substitutes on a slightly smaller field than in indoor volleyball (16x9m), but with a net of the same height as in volleyball.
