On the occasion of the 12th day of the Pro B table tennis championship, Nice CPC will travel to Lorraine, where they will face Metz TT on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
The Nice table tennis players are now in 3rd place in the championship, tied on points with TT Saint-Louis and SPO Rouen, thanks to a provisional record of four wins and four draws.
Undefeated since December 6, the team led by Cรฉdric Rouleau and Olivier Maero had to fight hard to secure a good draw against Auch (3-3) on February 14 at the Raoul-Dufy hall.
With the club’s management’s goal of maintaining their league position almost guaranteed, they will now aim to secure their spot on the podium, while the battle for promotion to Pro A seems to be the exclusive domain of Bayard Argentan and Issy-les-Moulineaux.
Against Metz (8th), who did not put up much of a fight in the first encounter (4-0), the upcoming match promises to be balanced and uncertain, especially since the Lorraine team, stronger in terms of individual rankings, is coming off a convincing victory in Rouen (2-4).
