The city of Nice took direct control of the school meal services on July 4th.
The decisions leading to this action were driven by multiple factors, the main reason being the improvement in the quality of the products and services provided in the meals.
The 3,500 children enrolled in July and the 2,500 children enrolled in August at the 27 leisure centers in Nice and at the two holiday camps in Contes and Beuil are the first to experience this new cuisine.
At the dining sites (110 in total during the school period), a balanced, diverse, and healthy cuisine will be offered.
A completely organic lunch at the “Fuon Cauda” leisure center canteen, in the presence of children and local organic producers, is organized to demonstrate the quality of the products offered.
A 100% organic meal will indeed be on the menu for the children’s lunch, once a month, this summer and throughout the rest of the school year.
