Saturday, March 31, 2012, from 10 AM to 6 PM, Place Garibaldi will be adorned with the colors of solidarity. The event “Nice in Solidarity with the World,” organized by the City of Nice and humanitarian associations, brings together children and adults around activities and conferences/debates centered on the theme of solidarity. Festivities and good cheer with the presence of association stands open to the public.
Music entertainment will also be part of the event with the participation of students from the National Conservatory of Regional Influence.
The participating associations are: Handicap International, Artisans du Monde, A.F.R.I.C.A (French Association for Research Initiatives and Cooperation with Africa), Les Enfants de Sion, UNICEF Alpes-Maritimes, Aide et Action, Amadea Madagascar.
The spirit? Show the public that each of us can, individually or collectively, work for the well-being of humanity, in areas as diverse as childhood, sustainable development, disabilities, and fair trade…

AMADEA MADAGASCAR โ Slideshow “Preschools in Madagascar” construction, financing, description of learnings, training of school teachers, details about children’s life at school.
AIDE ET ACTION โ Screening of the film “A School Day with Abdoul,” a secular solidarity film about Senegal.
Collection “A Day at School” With Abdoul, a student in CM2 class at Gamadji Sarรฉ, a small village in northern Senegal, living to the rhythm of the Senegal River, at the border with Mauritania.
Duration: 30 minutes.

HANDICAP INTERNATIONAL “The Handisolidaire World Tour”
An action to raise youth awareness about disabilities and international solidarity. To make young people aware of this issue, Handicap International has created, with the support of the European Union, a both serious and fun activity, “the Handisolidaire World Tour.”

Music animations:
With the participation of students from the class of contemporary amplified music led by Luc FENOLI of the National Conservatory of Regional Influence Pierre Cochereau.
The repertoire will consist of cover and adaptation of Rock, Reggae, and Rhythm and Blues classics studied throughout the ongoing year. In total, 6 groups of musicians and singers will take the stage in turns. The groups consist of a drum set, bass, guitar(s), keyboard, and vocals, and are at Level Cycle 1 and 2 (2 to 4 years of practice).
