Reception of a delegation from the European Local Inclusion and Social Action Network (ELISAN)

Created in 2008 at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels, the European Local Inclusion and Social Action Network is an INGO with the goal of ensuring better consideration of the participation of local social action elected officials in the implementation of an effective and coherent European social policy.

Federating more than 2,272 European cities, 12 EU member countries, and 30 million European citizens, ELISAN is a repository of experiences in social innovation aimed at promoting the actions carried out by European local and territorial communities in the field of local social action. It seeks to raise awareness of the initiatives taken and the projects implemented to address specific local needs.

On Wednesday, April 4th, Joรซlle Martinaux will welcome a delegation from ELISAN composed of Elena Curtopassi, Secretary General of ELISAN, Barbara Trentin, chief of staff of the regional minister of social affairs of the Veneto region, and Antonella Masullo, coordinator of the regional observatory for social policies of the Veneto region.

This meeting is part of a dynamic of sharing experiences and promoting at a European level the social policy led by the city of Nice and the UDCCAS.

Throughout the day, several themes will be addressed by ELISAN members and elected officials from the Nice municipality responsible for the following themes: family policy, disability, early childhood, health, social affairs, and old age.
