This festive event is open to everyone, to share a convivial moment and express your sensitivity and commitment in favor of Fair Trade, International Solidarity, and the Social Economy. As part of the Fair Trade Fortnight, which will take place from May 4 to 19 on the theme “All Made in World”.
Starting at 9 a.m., on Place Garibaldi, a Solidarity Village will be set up. Young and old alike can relax there by participating in numerous activities.
All day long, the associative village stands and market will offer: sales of local organic and fair trade products, information stands: Fleur de coton (organic and fair trade clothing), l’arbricole 3R (resource center), AFPS (France Palestine Solidarity Association), la NEF (alternative banking service), ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES 06 activities and employment cooperative, Incredible Edibles, etc.
At noon, a Piedanlepla canteen will offer visitors a free-price local, organic, and fair trade meal.
At 1 p.m., the Djé Baleti concert will take place, offering blended rock with multiple origins, particularly festive and danceable while using extremely rare traditional instruments and exploring the roots of the Mediterranean basin and Africa.
Indescribable, atypical, original. Djé Balèti is both the heir of the French alternative scene, world music, and Occitan culture.
At 2 p.m.: the Parade kicks off at Place Garibaldi: artists (dancers, singers, musicians of the world…), volunteers, and actors of the solidarity economy will parade through the streets of Nice.
