The General Council of Alpes-Maritimes, together with the municipality of Mougins, has created an orientation course in the departmental park of La Valmasque. This allows the residents of the department to discover the forest in a fun, educational, or more athletic way.
This Space for Sport Orientation is a sports course based on orienteering, which targets a wide audience. It consists of 4 circuits, offering everyone the opportunity to go at their own pace and learn to read a map correctly for orientation. This course also has the benefit of raising participants’ awareness about environmental respect.
The departmental park of La Valmasque
This departmental natural park spans 432 hectares in the municipalities of Valbonne and Mougins. Made up of three wooded hills, it is ideal for children and offers nature observation walks, games, or sports courses. Additionally, the Fontmerle pond, with its great biological richness, is a real center of attraction.
