At the Vendée Globe awards ceremony in Les Sables d’Olonne on May 11th, the skipper of Virbac-Paprec 3 received the Sodebo Combativity Award for his incredible feat without a keel.
The Nice-based skipper chose to donate the award prize to three associations: the Alliance Dravet Syndrome, the Nice Marine Discovery Center, and the Rose of Jericho Nice association.
During his current presence in Nice to present his new racing trimaran, Jean Pierre Dick handed over the checks to the two Nice-based associations: the Nice Marine Discovery Center and Rose of Jericho, at the port of Nice, Entrecastaux quay, next to his boat.
The sponsor of the association was able to meet the young people from the Excellence Boarding School of the Lycée Estienne d’Orves in Nice, the families and young people from the Montjoye association, the women from the SOS Breast Cancer association, and the sick children from the Lutins et Lucioles association.
