A ceremony commemorating the end of the Battle of Diên Biên Phú will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012, at 7 PM at the War Memorial in Rauba Capeu, in tribute to the French soldiers who perished or were wounded in this battle.
The Battle of Diên Biên Phu was one of the most furious, longest, and deadliest battles after World War II. It ended on May 7, 1954, after 57 days of intense fighting.
