As part of their Civic Service at the Saint-Barthélémy Housing Center of the Community Social Action Center of the City of Nice, Fatima, Anaïs, Marine, and Nadine have set up a sewing workshop twice a week.

This workshop aims to support children hospitalized at Lenval University Hospital Center. Since last January, residents of the Housing Center and members of the activity club have mobilized to create baby clothes, stuffed toys, and other cozy knitted items.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 2:30 PM, the exceptional and volunteer seamstresses will deliver their beautiful production (over eighty items) to the local President of Les Blouses Roses at the Saint-Barthélémy Housing Center.

The association’s mission is to stimulate patients and the elderly by reigniting their interest in being active through fun, creative, or artistic activities.

Several volunteers work throughout the year in partnership with hospitals and care facilities for the elderly. For the past 7 years, Les Blouses Roses have been regularly involved in residences for dependent elderly people managed by the Community Social Action Center of the City of Nice.

For this project, the Association connects the seamstresses of the Residence, young people in Civic Service, and hospitalized children.
