This festival, a symbol of the summer solstice, was once organized around a fire to encourage marriages. According to legend, young girls would rush to the Saint-Jean fires because, as the saying goes, if they danced around nine bonfires, their weddings would be celebrated within the year.

Performances: from schools in Nice-West and the Plaine et Cรดteaux area โ Choir “Blanche dโOr Nice Cรดte dโAzur” โ Children’s theater play “The Pirateโs Fiancรฉe” with the troupe “La Rรฉserve” โ Niรงoise music and dances with Nice la Belle and Rauba Capeu.
Around 10:00 PM: Lighting of the Saint-Jean fire.
