Wednesday, June 27 at 2:00 PM in the presence of Lauriano Azinheirinha, Deputy for Education and Youth.
Last October, the 68 child municipal councilors and their alternates, elected in the last Children’s Municipal Council, presented various projects in each thematic commission: “My Environment, My City”, “Activities and Leisure”, “Health, Solidarity”, “Living in the City”.
The council voted on four projects to be implemented during their term:
Animated slogan on city cleanliness;
Organization of interschool Olympic Games;
Nutritional education;
Blue bikes for children ages 8 to 13.
On the occasion of this plenary session on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, the elected representatives will present their finalized project and submit it for approval to the Assembly.
This session will also be an opportunity for the councilors and alternates to review the past two years within the Children’s Municipal Council.
The elected members of the municipal council have a two-year term. They meet twice a year in a plenary session to develop projects in favor of the city and thus attempt to improve everyone’s life.
