A lunch organized for the French-Niçard class

Latest News

To celebrate the opening of a French-Niçois bilingual class at the Orangers school, a lunch featuring a Nissart menu took place yesterday at the school’s cafeteria.

Since the start of the school year, fifteen children from the small and medium sections have joined the new Niçois bilingual class. To mark this opening, a special lunch was held at this school, as well as in all other school cafeterias in the city. On the menu were dishes that are part of Niçois heritage (pissaladière, pan bagnat…) and folk music performed by the troupe Nissa la Bella. Not all children from the small section enjoyed it, with some being disturbed by the atmosphere. Others were delighted and sought to get an autograph from Deputy Mayor Christian Estrosi, who was present at the lunch for this unprecedented opening. “Chef Ratatouille,” as he introduced himself to the children, took the opportunity to present the schoolbook that will accompany them throughout their learning.
