Nice 100% Sport runs from Friday, July 20th to Sunday, August 19th, featuring a series of professional and amateur tournaments, demonstrations of various beach sports: beach volleyball, foot-volley, sandball, beach rugby, and also pétanque… Nice 100% Sport is an exceptional lineup of top-level athletes gathered in the heart of the city, in the Albert 1st gardens (including French international volleyball and basketball players, Yannick Bazin for Beach Volleyball, Olivier Dacourt for Foot-Volley…).
Born on the fine sandy beaches of the Pacific, Beach Rugby is a spectacular and fast-paced sport that combines the team aspect of rugby with the playful side of beach sports. For the first time this year, Beach Rugby joins the lineup of events in the “Nice 100% Sport” festival.
Instructors and technical advisors from the Rugby Departmental Committee 06 will teach budding rugby players (children aged 9 to 12) the basics of this sport. Passing, relay, or tackling workshops, as well as 7×7 or 5×5 matches, will allow children from leisure centers or elsewhere to enjoy themselves to the fullest!
