For 18 years, the Nice Baie des Anges Association has been at the origin of the International Figure Skating Cup of the City of Nice. Each year, more than 30 nations are represented in Nice with approximately 200 high-level skaters.
Following the highly successful World Championships in Nice in 2012, it is therefore a highly competitive participation with confirmed champions and others seeking the necessary points to qualify for the next major world events.
Local up-and-coming skaters will participate in this competition, including Fleur Maxwell in Senior Ladies and Carla Monzali in Junior.
Created in 1995, the International Cup aims to promote Figure Skating and Ice Dancing. Nice Baie des Anges Association develops this high-level sporting event while organizing ice sports, not only Figure Skating but also Ballet on Ice and Curling.
Today, the club has 400 competitors focused on competition, in addition to 120 to 150 schoolchildren as part of an educational project and disabled individuals welcomed in partnership with the Nice City Hall. This is more than 500 titles equivalent to the license for the 2013/2014 season.
