The 2013 Sports Awards Ceremony and the presentation of the 2014 Municipal Agenda of the City of Biot took place in a warm atmosphere.

More than 200 people attended the evening, during which, before presenting the trophies, the officials emphasized the values conveyed by sports such as concentration, endurance, and self-improvement. โSports also have social significance. Because sports are more than just sports. They encompass the fundamentals of education, integration, openness to others, solidarity, support, and the pride of flying high and proud the colors of the sports club one belongs to.โ
The Mayor of Biot also paid tribute to Nelson Mandela by quoting him: โSports have the power to change the world. They have the power to unite people in a way that is almost unique. Sports can create hope where there was only despair. They are more powerful than governments in breaking down racial barriers. Sports laugh in the face of all forms of discrimination.โ
After this bounty of awards, the guests (athletes, coaches, families, representatives of associations and businessesโฆ) received the 2014 edition of the City of Biotโs agenda, unveiled for the occasion.
