Pink Martini returns to the Côte d’Azur this Monday, October 26, 2026. The famous Portland orchestra performs at 8 p.m. at La Stella, in La Trinité, at the gates of Nice, with Storm Large on vocals. An evening announced between jazz, classical, Latin rhythms and vintage pop.
A “small American orchestra” with accents from all over the world: that is the signature of Pink Martini, expected this Monday evening at La Stella. The group, founded in 1994 in Portland by pianist Thomas Lauderdale, established itself with a repertoire that moves from one language and era to another, without confining itself to a single musical genre.
From “Je ne veux pas travailler” to “Bella Ciao”
In France, the group is notably associated with Sympathique and its famous refrain “Je ne veux pas travailler”. But its discography goes well beyond this success: Pink Martini blends influences from song, jazz, classical music and popular traditions from different continents.
For this return to the Alpes-Maritimes, the official presentation of the concert also mentions more recent compositions, including the EP Bella Ciao. On stage, the ensemble brings together about a dozen musicians and claims a repertoire performed in more than 25 languages.
Storm Large on vocals
Storm Large provides the vocals for this tour. Her powerful voice and stage energy accompany the group’s cosmopolitan identity, in a show that promises to move from retro elegance to more festive rhythms.
This appearance in La Trinité is part of a long-standing history between Pink Martini and the Côte d’Azur: the group had notably performed at the Nice Jazz Festival and in Antibes, events already mentioned in the NicePremium archives.
