From Place Masséna, Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, surrounded by talented champions Yannick Agnel, Anna Santamans, and Charlotte Bonnet, will kick off this great festival of lights on Friday, November 30, at 6:30 PM.
Welcome to the magic of the year-end light decorations…
This year, the baroque theme has been chosen to adorn all the neighborhoods of Nice and the city center.
Chandeliers, curtains, bows, ribbons, paintings, light cylinders, crystal columns, gift packages, Santa Claus mailboxes, giant characters like a huge snowman installed in front of Lenval Hospital or a Santa Claus sitting at the entrance to Nice at Carras… are among the baroque decorations that inspire the festive daydreams of young and old alike.
These beautiful decorations also preserve the environment. All the light displays are made with new generation LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes).
They provide a light output 5 to 10 times superior to the halogen lamps formerly used while consuming 9 times less power. These technologies help reduce by half the economic and environmental impact of the Christmas illuminations.
