The two “Patrick” (An alliance that calls for others in future electoral deadlines?) united in the same fight supporting the residents of the building on Trachel Street, promised for demolition as part of the renovation program. For now, the City counters the zeal of the protesters with a delaying tactic while waiting for the conclusion of the consultation period.
But, apparently, the plan is already well-crafted, as one can see in the meeting room on Rue d’Angleterre, where several information boards are displayed.
It remains true that the people leading the collective organizing the protest (meritorious and methodical) do not seem to be sowers of discord from all sides but simply people who want to defend their interests without, perhaps, an overall view of the plan. But has anyone explained it to them?
Their number is rather substantial, with reports of more than 1,700 signatures, of which at least 700 are from people living in the affected area.
Few, many, not enough? The feeling of being wronged is not a good adviser, and there are murmurs of some private interest that might indirectly benefit from the project as presented.
