December 31, 2015, closed the year on a high note with the Nice Côte d’Azur Airport exceeding the 12 million passenger mark. For the 5th consecutive year, the platform recorded traffic growth, with a 3.1% increase compared to 2014. More than ever, Nice Côte d’Azur Airport plays its crucial role as an economic spearhead serving the region.
Meanwhile, the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group proposed a reduction of its winter aeronautical fees by -2.5% starting November 2016 for regular commercial aviation.
Another notable event is that the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group plans to make record investments in 2016 (> €75 million) dedicated to the redesign of its two terminals, offering an increasingly premium passenger experience with enhanced service quality, across its three platforms in Nice, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez.
“Concerning commercial aviation, our mission is to convince airlines to develop direct routes, which contribute to the appeal of our region,” commented Dominique Thillaud, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Group.
