When will the Nice municipality finally decide to combat the noise pollution caused by two-wheelers, which sometimes rage through the city’s streets as if they were on a race track, in a long-term manner?

For the record, beyond 82 decibels, these roars are considered noise pollution. The riders risk a fine and an obligation to comply.

In fact, although the Nice municipality has adopted a strict stance towards those responsible for certain misdemeanors, it does not seem to be the same towards motorcyclists โ€“ who, for the most part, are respectful of the rules and the well-being of others โ€“ when they transform into bikers, protagonists of roaring accelerations that, at best, startle on the street or, at worst, can wake people up at night.
If education must precede and accompany punishment, it does not mean forgetting the ultimate goal: Civic behavior that respects others and the environment.
