This Thursday, January 9, Eric Ciotti, Deputy and President of the Alpes-Maritimes General Council, will inaugurate the exhibition “Three Centuries of Tourism in the Alpes-Maritimes” at the Departmental Archives.
“Three Centuries of Tourism in the Alpes-Maritimes” invites visitors on a journey to discover the department shaped by 300 years of tourism.
Illustrated with more than 300 unpublished documents, posters, and photographs, the exhibition and its catalog present a broad panorama of the history of tourism, its impacts on the Alpes-Maritimes, as well as its resonance in the activities and daily life of its inhabitants.
The Alpes-Maritimes department has the unique privilege of combining sea, nature, and mountains. This exceptional setting has turned the Côte d’Azur into a magical place that has, for three centuries, captured the world’s imagination and continues to attract more and more tourists.
