Friday, September 16 at 9:30 PM at Tour Bellanda – Nice
As part of the “Sustainable Development” initiative, the historical monuments of Nice will be equipped with environmentally friendly lighting systems.
The Tour Bellanda is benefiting from this thoughtful lighting policy and will be the first historical monument in Nice to be fully equipped with a new system.
Thus, the Tour will shine “sustainably.”
On this occasion, all residents of Nice are invited to attend this lighting event.
In total, 31 new LED projectors will replace all the old traditional discharge lamp projectors. The LED projectors have a lifespan of 15 years for decorative lighting, while traditional projectors need to be replaced approximately every 2 years. Furthermore, the energy consumption required for this new lighting will be halved.
This project was successfully conducted collectively. The City of Nice carried out the lighting installation, EDF funded it and provided its know-how, and the company Philips supplied the equipment.
Adorned with its new robe of white, amber, and green light, the Tour Bellanda will also host an exhibition with panels presenting the history of the County of Nice and the House of Savoy.
Visits are possible from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 6 PM, on Saturday, September 16, and Sunday, September 17, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days.
Afterward, it will be possible to discover it until the end of September from 2 PM to 5 PM. The visit is free.
