For the second consecutive year, the 2016 X-Trial of Nations indoor event will take place at the Nikaรฏa Palace on April 1st. A guaranteed show for the Riviera audience.
As in 2012 and 2015, it is at the Nikaรฏa Palace in Nice that the X-Trial of Nations will take place on the upcoming April 1st. Following the success of these two editions organized on the French Riviera, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has once again entrusted the Moto-Club of La Gaude to organize the event.
However, a completely different show will be offered to the public of Nice, as several new features are to be noted. Firstly, in the choice of riders. The best rider and the most promising talent from the five greatest trial nations in the world will be selected for this show. “It will therefore be a race between tighter teams than before. The event promises to be very lively with more spectacular than difficult sections. We are going to work to change the system so that the show is more attractive,” says Bruno Albero, president of the Moto-Club of La Gaude.
Also among the new features is the first appearance of the United States, which is expected to replace Italy, as announced by the club president: “For the first time in Nice, two Americans will perform whose names are not yet known.”
Five nations will therefore provide the show on the upcoming April 1st at the Nikaรฏa Palace. While the presence of the United States seems to be confirmed, that of Spain, France, and Japan has already been assured. The spectacular Takahisa Fujinami is expected to represent Japan alongside Ogawa Tomoyuki. The defending Spanish champions are expected to be represented by Toni Bou and Jaime Busto. As for France, the world vice-champion last year, it will be represented by the inevitable Alex Ferrer, who will be supported by Quentin Carles de Caudemberg (AMC Grasse) or Benoรฎt Bincaz (Saint-Laurent Moto-Club).
The young Rivieran Romain Chalier will also be part of the event with some freestyle trial. Accompanied by another freestyler, they will try to delight fans with ever more daring and breathtaking tricks. Also on the program for the evening is the presence of trial cyclists. All in a magnificent setting with a Carnival theme.
