The Mimosa Festival is a large popular celebration organized every year in February. This year, the festivities last 8 days (from the 17th to the 24th), with highlights including the flower parades during the weekend.
First, with the “must-see” events, such as guided walking tours in the Tanneron massif every afternoon for about two hours, and also the “Mimosa to Fragrance” coach tour.
One of the main events of the Mimosa Festival will be the unique water show by the Siagne river this Friday: aerial ballets, pyrotechnic displays, and fireworks.
Next, the election of Miss Mimosa 2016 will take place on Saturday, followed by the nighttime parade in the city center.
According to tradition, the residents of the town, its associations, and its entertainment committee organize together the highlight of the Mimosa Festival: the grand flower parade and the flower battle this Sunday.
They decorate the floats with freshly picked mimosa. A meticulous work of weaving branches around the subjects each year according to the chosen theme.
To close these festivities, the children’s carnival will be held on Wednesday, February 24th.
Visitors can enjoy the blooming hills and discover all the secrets of mimosa during its flowering period from mid-January to early March.
