Jacques Victor: “More than ever, we believe it is essential for the implementation of the National Interest Operation of the Var Plain to be carried out with the utmost transparency and the widest consultation involving all key stakeholders: elected officials from the concerned local authorities, associations, and economic and social actors.

Unfortunately, this is not what we have observed so far, where a number of projects are advanced without prior consultation or debate.

The overall vision of the project and its coherence with both the Territorial Planning Directive and the objectives set by the National Interest Operation thus remains a mystery to most and can only fuel concerns about the future of a territory so strategic for the future of our department.”
