The Minister of National Education, Najat Vallaud‐Belkacem, has announced changes to the school calendar and the advancement of spring holidays for the periods of 2015‐2016, 2016‐2017, and 2017‐2018.
A new approach welcomed by Charles-Ange Ginesy, president of the National Association of Mayors of Mountain Resorts, who participated in the consultation organized by the Ministry.

The Minister indicates that spring holidays will now be shifted by one week to reduce the so-called “inter-holiday” period between the winter school break and spring break.
The President of the ANMSM, Charles‐Ange GINESY, is pleased with this decision: “It allows for the enhancement of students’ learning while taking into account the economic realities of the regions.”
In parallel with this evolution of the school calendar, the Minister announced an overhaul of zoning, now aligned with the new regional map.
