The 2016/2017 season ended this Sunday with the closing of the slopes, and unlike last year, the season’s outcome for the ski resorts of Isola 2000 and Auron is positive.
Nearly 1.5 million skiers sped down the slopes of these two resorts in the Mercantour.
“We had a very good month of December, January was more complicated; fortunately, we had some significant snowfall at the end of January and the beginning of February,” analyzes Jean-Marc Berard, general manager of the Isola 2000 and Auron resorts.
With an occupancy rate of 80%, hoteliers and merchants are mostly satisfied, although some regret that their turnover is lower than in the 2014-2015 season.
