A Look Back at a “Surprising” Season
The girls of Sébastien Gardillou kept their supporters on edge, match after match. From the beginning of the season, the team from Nice made their intentions clear. A score of -1 against the current leaders (CJF Fleury 32-31 OGC Nice), a loss of -2 against the last-place team (Union Mios 27-25 OGC Nice), it was difficult to position OGC Nice.
In the second half of the season came the time for surprises, and Nice shook the top of the table. A draw against CJF Fleury Loiret HB and Metz HB, a one-goal victory against Issy Paris HB, there were few matches that did not leave room for doubt.
Reaching the Play-offs
And then the ultimate achievement, the team from Nice reached the play-offs in March by winning the derby against Toulon. Like many matches this season, OGC Nice snatched victory in the final minutes of the game, demonstrating once again that their presence in the play-offs is not due to luck, but to their determination to win.
And maybe the best is yet to come…
