Until June 30, 2014, Carrefour stores in Nice are mobilizing for the 4th edition of the Boucles du Cœur, the annual event initiated by Carrefour to demonstrate everyone’s commitment to children in need. Carrefour Nice TNL and all Carrefour Market stores in Nice have chosen to support SOS Children’s Village of Carros; Carrefour Lingostière has chosen to support the local association “Pitchin Pantaï”.
As every year, Carrefour stores, Carrefour Market, and their employees are mobilizing for eleven weeks to support associations working for children.
Through a donation collection, shared products, and events organized by the stores, Carrefour customers and employees will have the opportunity to participate, each in their own way, in this major solidarity campaign.
How to participate in the Boucles du Cœur 2014?
Families, colleagues, friends, employees, customers… who wish to mobilize for children in need can participate in the Boucles du Cœur in several ways:
- Make a donation at the checkout for the association chosen by the store (ELA or a local association).
- Donate online at www.carrefour.fr under the Boucles du Coeur section.
- Join the event organized by their Carrefour and Carrefour Market store: raffle, fair, bake sales, flea market, sports challenges, etc., which will punctuate the life of the stores throughout the operation (event details at www.carrefour.fr under the Boucles du Coeur section).
- Buy one of the shared products sold for the benefit of associations in the nearest Carrefour Market from May 6 to 11.
- Discover the association pages on the site www.lesbouclesducoeur.carrefour.fr and share them with your friends. The associations gaining the most “likes” and shares will receive additional donations from Carrefour.
About SOS Children’s Village
SOS Children’s Villages has been committed for over 60 years to building sustainable and future-oriented social structures for children in need and their families. Its primary objective is to meet the basic needs of children, that is, to provide them with a family, love, attention, and security.
In practice, children’s villages house siblings entrusted by the juvenile court for long-term placements (more than 2 years). They are designed to offer children a stable and secure living environment and the right to a lasting emotional and educational relationship, not substituting the relationship with their parents, made possible by the commitment of SOS mothers to host the child for the duration of the placement.
In addition to the care provided by an SOS mother, there is the permanent support of a multidisciplinary team to help resolve the disorders and difficulties due to abuse or neglect that led to the placement, as well as, if necessary, recourse to external therapies or care. The children’s village in CARROS (29 employees) hosts 45 children, aged from 1 to 21 years, all originating from the Alpes-Maritimes department. www.sosve.org
