This Friday, May 22, at 5 PM, Christian Estrosi will award the Insignia of Knight in the National Order of Merit to Philippe Pradal in the presence of Eric Ciotti, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Department.
This honorary distinction recognizes the exemplary career of a generous man, committed to the community and wholly devoted to its service.
Currently, as the First Deputy to the Deputy Mayor of Nice, responsible for finance, security, public works, roads, transportation, parking, general administration, and the modernization of administration, Philippe Pradal brings his expertise in law and finance. An accomplished man combining professional commitments—both in the local public service and the private sector—and voluntary commitments in the associative and union sectors.
For example, he participated in the creation of the Food Bank in the Alpes-Maritimes.
Brilliant, specialized in his areas of focus, and driven by a keen sense of commitment, he took on elective roles early. Elected vice-president of the Student Forum and then as a representative of undergraduate students on the council of the Unit for Study and Research in Law and Economic Sciences in 1983, he sat on this council until 1985. As part of this mandate, he was called to serve on the Pedagogy Commission of the University of Nice.
Since 2008, he has been elected Municipal Councilor of the City of Nice and Community Councilor of the EPCI Nice Côte d’Azur, Vice-President of the Supervisory Board of the Municipal Credit Bank, Administrator and Vice-President of Côte d’Azur Habitat, and President of Semiacs.
Since January 1, 2012, he has been President of the Finance, Human Resources, and General Administration Commission of the Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur, and in this role, he is consulted to speak before the inter-jurisdictional formation of the Court of Auditors on the organization of the Métropole.
Since 2013, in addition to his role as First Deputy Mayor, he also serves as President of the Régie Ligne d’Azur and President of the Lenval Foundation.
