Because families need to balance family life and professional life, they have significant needs in terms of childcare for their children and young people, especially during summer vacations.
To meet this growing demand, the Nice municipality has been committed for many years with the CAF in the “Childhood Youth Contract,” a contract for the development and co-financing of expenses related to the operation of childcare facilities (daycares, leisure centers, etc.).
The 3rd Childhood Youth Contract (2014-2017), voted on during the municipal council on April 27, 2015, will allow for the creation of 1,360 additional places in leisure centers and stays for ages 3-17! (905 places in municipal management and 455 places in associative centers).
Quality leisure activities are offered to young people from Nice by the youth service, whose mission is to develop animation, education, and leisure activities, during vacation periods and extracurricular time, for the benefit of children and young people in the community, aged 3 to 20 years.
A new feature: the Mont-Boron youth hostel has now been transformed into a municipal vacation center.
