After the creation of an “Allianz Riviera Fan Lab” with innovative services like the use of Google Glass, a Drone Cam, and even a remotely operated robot, Allianz Riviera continues its policy of modernity with the installation of a high-density WIFI network.
Infrastructure work will start in the second half of 2015, with the network becoming available at the beginning of 2016. The WIFI will cover the entire sports facility, providing spectators with high-quality access to mobile applications and specific digital services.
In line with the modernization project, all the seats at the Allianz Riviera will be replaced. These new seats will be more durable and offer supporters greater comfort. The cost of the operation is not yet known.
The work will commence on June 29 for the lower and intermediate stands. The VIP seats will be changed in August, and the upper stand will be modified in September.
Xavier Lortat-Jacob, president of the Allianz Riviera, is pleased with this constant pursuit of modernity: “The transition to HD connectivity will enable us to implement a priority of our operator policy: to gradually revolutionize the way an event is experienced and enhance the customer experience.”
It should also be noted that public telecom operators are investing to complete 4G network coverage for the stadium for the upcoming sports season.
