The popular and delightfully tasty event par excellence, the Strawberry and Local Heritage Festival, will be held this weekend. Visitors will be able to discover and purchase delicious trays of strawberries from the canton of Carros throughout the weekend.
A local producers’ market will also be present.
The days of Saturday and Sunday will be further marked by numerous activities, demonstrations, and workshops in the square of Plans de Carros*: fruit and vegetable carving, workshops on organic basketry, woodturning, blacksmithing demonstrations, knife making, wool spinning, lacemaking, lavender distillation, capoeira, archery initiation, fairground activities…
Among the other highlights of this Strawberry and Local Heritage Festival: a youth event on Friday evening, exhibitions throughout the weekend, a conference-debate on the theme “Bees in Danger,” and a dinner dance on Saturday. There will also be a grand honorary aperitif with a tasting of a giant pan bagnat on Sunday.

The Strawberry and Local Heritage Festival is organized by the city of Carros and the Carros City Festival Committee, with the participation of the tourism office and the associations Pari Mix’Citรฉ and Les Niรงois du canton.
