The 2016 edition of the In&Out festival passes the baton from the Nice evenings to Beaulieu and Cannes, where it continues in a reduced format during this week and up until the next weekend.
Success was once again on the agenda. Benoรฎt Arnuls, president of Les Ouvreurs, the organizing association, does not hide his satisfaction: “As usual, it was tiring but we are happy and proud of the work accomplished.”
The jury awarded the prizes for this 8th edition of the In&Out Meetings during a fantastic closing evening at the MAMAC Auditorium.

“11 Life Lessons from an Awesome Old Dyke” reconstructs through a series of essential advice the impactful and irreverent life of Dorothy, a badass lesbian figure.
The jury wanted to acknowledge: 1/ the formal documentary research blending archives, interviews, and animations; 2/ the cheerful and humorous tone, too often rare in LGBT+ films; 3/ and the way of presenting Allison Khoury’s transmission message.
