During the first half of June, across France, many stakeholders in organic farming are mobilizing for the national fortnight dedicated to providing information and promoting organic farming products.
For several years now, numerous events have been held along the coast in support of Organic Agriculture.
This year, the Organic Farming movement (AB) has chosen to organize the first edition of a festival on June 1st in Collongues! Located in the northwest of the Alpes-Maritimes department, this rural community is nestled in breathtaking mountainous surroundings: endless forest landscapes and fresh air await!
A truly festive day in the village..
The program:
10am – 5pm: meet with organic and local producers: they will be on hand to offer and provide tastings of a multitude of local products: sales of vegetable and flower plants, vegetables, cheeses, essential oils, …
10am – 5pm: artists and craftsmen from the valley will showcase their worlds: creations and works of all kinds to spark your curiosity…
Associations working in the fields of environment, agriculture, and eco-citizenship will be present to share the values they defend and the actions they lead on the ground.
Departure at 10:45am from the village: a young organic market gardener will take visitors to his production site. After a thirty-minute walk or with ERDF electric shuttles or bikes, they can enjoy a fun and hands-on visit live on the farm. For both young and old! Tasting included…
Starting at 12pm: The Festival Committee will offer a meal and a friendly space to have lunch with family or friends.
2pm – 4pm: Local stakeholders working on the installation of farmers in the area will participate in an open round-table discussion. What are the current challenges? What roles do these structures play? What steps should be taken to settle there?
All of this in a relaxed and musical atmosphere with an open music stage: anyone can come with their instruments and perform musically throughout the day!
