On the occasion of the opening night of the Nice Jazz Festival 2014, Christian Estrosi, Deputy Mayor of Nice and President of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis, presented the Ferret trophy for the fourth consecutive year to the Festival Sponsor, the renowned accordionist Richard Galliano.
Since the Nice Jazz Festival was taken over by the City of Nice in 2011, the city has been awarding an honorary trophy to the festival’s sponsor, specially created and produced by Maison Ferret for the occasion.
The manufacture of this yellow gold saxophone is also an opportunity to celebrate the bicentennial of Adolphe Sax, the creator of the saxophone: the emblem of the Nice Jazz Festival, and this for two editions.
By offering this 4th creation to the Nice Jazz Festival, the Ferret brand – which has two addresses located on Avenue Verdun, a few meters from Place Masséna and the Jardin Albert 1er – emphasizes its great interest in music.
