It was in the heart of the city of Nice, in the garden of the Musรฉe Massรฉna, that the award ceremony for the startup competition took place, in the presence of Christian Estrosi, President of the Metropolis.
“Remember, in 2010 we welcomed the Chinese President and the French President in this garden as part of a major collaboration between these two countries,” recalled Christian Estrosi during his speech. Today, this “collaboration” is only growing and it’s good news for the country’s economy.
Innovation and technology are major assets for development. “By 2017, 3,000 sensors will be installed in the heart of the Eco-valley.” This initiative aims to create a “smart city,” a first at the national level. “Moreover, it will create more than 25,000 jobs.”
Karl Song, General Manager of Huawei France, wants to remind and thank the city for organizing this competition, Digital In-Pulse, which helps advance technology. The company that wins the first prize receives not only 50,000 euros but also “a business trip” to China. “This encourages and strengthens French-Chinese ties.”
Furthermore, Christian Estrosi took the opportunity to announce that he will also visit China, by the end of the year, accompanied by Rudy Salles, Deputy Mayor, within the framework of economic issues.
