Martine Pinville, Secretary of State in charge of Commerce and Crafts, will meet with affected merchants in the Alpes Maritimes this Wednesday.


The severe weather that has hit the southeast of France has severely impacted many businesses and small enterprises.

In the 14 municipalities of the Alpes Maritimes affected by the decree declaring a state of natural disaster, more than 1,800 businesses have been impacted, with their work tools damaged, threatening over 10,000 jobs.

State services are mobilized to ensure the implementation of all measures allowing for the rapid compensation of businesses and merchants to help the economic fabric recover as quickly as possible.

Madame Martine Pinville will lead an institutional meeting in Cannes, bringing together the many stakeholders involved (State services, local representatives, insurance companies, etc.) on government support for merchants and businesses.
