OGC Nice: The Partners Are Smiling

Latest News

For the second consecutive year, the partner evening took place in one of the lounges of the Palais de la Méditerranée. Having supported OGC Nice for around ten years for some, and less for others, the partners are delighted with the start of the season under Claude Puel’s men and are eager for more.

During the applause meter reading, two players stood out during the team’s presentation on the big stage, Hatem Ben Arfa and Vincent Koziello. But more than an applause contest, it’s the entire club that has been winning since the start of the season. Goals, gameplay, entertainment, and victories, every fan dreams of such a team, and the Gym is the example.

“I won’t hide it from you, at the end of last season, the enthusiasm wasn’t there anymore. But this year, we look forward to the matches eagerly. We enjoy it, we come for that,” says Stéphane with a smile, a subscriber for the third consecutive season.

And “pleasure” is the word that echoes from all the partners met. Some praise the entire team’s spirit, others the evolution towards a more polished style of play, but all insist that they must keep cool.

“For now, everything is going well. On all levels, we enjoy the matches, the evolution is really pleasant. All that’s missing is a more present 12th man. Today it’s 11.5,” jokes Samir, a subscriber for the fourth year.

And if a mini-survey were to take place, Hatem Ben Arfa would undoubtedly top the statistics chart as he currently leads the scoring rankings. The names Micka Séri and Valère Germain, who made the short move from the Principality this summer, also frequently come up.

It’s up to the players to continue this very successful start to the season (8th with 14 points and one game in hand). Despite long-term injuries, the Niçois will have to face a daunting end of October and November with seven matches in less than four weeks.
