The Concerts Spirituels of Nice are celebrating their 25th season.

The temple of the United Protestant Church of France, Parish of the Holy Spirit, is organizing its concert season for the 25th year.

It is thanks to Pastor Marc Goertz that these concerts exist, with the first one being crucial in making his initiative sustainable.

This 25th edition, which began on October 11 with a brass quintet, will end on Sunday, May 26, 2016, with a piano concert.

Between these two events, six other concerts or recitals are offered to music lovers:

On November 8 a Violin Harp duo.

On January 10, 2016 it will be the turn of the flute and piano.

On February 28 the focus will be on Beethoven with the violin and cello.

On April 17 the piano will enchant the audience with its melodious keys.

The spiritual concerts in Nice are an opportunity to discover or rediscover chamber music, church music, or the organ.

These musical afternoons, with all concerts taking place on Sundays at 5 PM, allow the audience to delve deeper into the music and the pieces presented. The invited artists are educators, teachers, and mostly internationally known performers. It is also a way for young artists with promising talent to make themselves known to the general public.

Two parish concerts, one during Advent on December 6, 2015, and another during Lent and Passion on March 20, 2016.

The neo-Gothic style temple on Victor Hugo Boulevard, built at the same time as the Anglican church of similar design, has that little ‘So British’ touch with its presbytery.

Apart from the music, there is the architecture of the venue, two reasons and two motives to attend these spiritual concerts.
