The Weeks of Equality and Professional Diversity are organized by Alter Egaux, the CIDFF, the University of Nice, and the Academy’s Rectorate, in partnership with the High Council for Gender Equality, the PACA Region, the regional prefecture of PACA, and the prefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes.
Meetings, round tables, film debates, hands-on workshops, exhibition. A month to exchange, discover good practices nearby and find ideas to advance equality everywhere, together.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Alpes-Maritimes collective launches its program for building equality. After gathering more than 600 people last year through 17 events across the entire department, the fourth edition of Gender Weeks® becomes “The Weeks of Equality and Professional Diversity in PACA”.
The event has received support since 2013 from Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, Minister of Women’s Rights, and the High Council for Gender Equality.
The 2014 edition highlights legislative news with focuses on professional diversity and the role of men in building a shared culture of equality.
As every year, exemplary practices spotted in the region are showcased to make equality a reality here and now. The Weeks of Equality and Professional Diversity are full of gems and practical solutions, too often unknown or invisible, yet easy to implement.
From edition to edition, the event becomes rooted in the territory and turns into an annual rendezvous, increasingly mobilizing partners in all areas of society: education, economy, social, parenting, etc.
To make equality an added value, a shared value.
