This Saturday, November 22, a large collection of second-hand toys is being organized at the two hypermarkets in Nice, Lingostière and TNL, in partnership with Eco-systems.
Volunteers from Unis-Cité and the association Emmaus are mandated by the eco-organism to collect the toys in-store, thus giving them a second life for underprivileged children.
As children grow and develop, their toys and games are gradually set aside in closets and attics. Many are in good condition and could delight other children. Everyone can therefore bring toys in good condition to Carrefour Nice Lingostière and Carrefour Nice TNL, to the volunteers who will have a stand at the store entrance.
All toys collected by Eco-systems, in association with Emmaus and Unis-Cité, will be refurbished if necessary before being distributed to families or sold at solidarity prices at Emmaus. This initiative allows for intelligent, sustainable recycling and prevents waste.
In 2013, this operation enabled the collection of 500 shopping carts of toys within Carrefour stores.
